Good evening NHB,

Three rehearsals to go, and then show time. Since we’re getting close, our music must be pretty solid, and I hope you are as confident in that assessment as I am. (If not, you’ll just have to trust me – you’re playing well, and the best is yet to come.)

Our final three weeks will become more full rehearsal oriented:

  1. April 26 – shorter sectionals, targeted at small sections of some challenging material (remember – if a selection is kind of tough, it’s not tough all the way through)
  2. May 3 – Full rehearsal on all nine selections – NO SECTIONALS
  3. May 10 – Full rehearsal run through of program order – hopefully/likely on stage – NO SECTIONALS

Next Tuesday, April 26, I’ll replace Kris Bryan (absent) in leading brass sectional.

3. COLLECTING MUSIC –
We need all music (except “Aladdin”) turned in after the concert. Anyone with music who won’t be at the concert needs to find a way to get music handed in. “Aladdin” will be used for the Tuesday, May 17 guest conductor auditions. At the end of the May 17 audition, “Aladdin” will be collected. Most of our music is borrowed and needs to be returned ASAP. Also, NHB owned music needs to be handed in ASAP.

Peace!
