Founding NHBFV Band Director – September 2004 thru May 2015
On this 18th day of May 2024, New Horizons Band Fox Valley acknowledges its gratitude and appreciation to Jon Meyer for creating the New Horizons Band in the Fox Valley and his years of dedication, hard work and talent as our founding band director. Under his gentle leadership, the band was formed, grew and ultimately became a vibrant, independent non-profit providing music education and concert performance opportunities for adults throughout our wider community. As a direct result of Jon Meyer’s diligent efforts, New Horizons Band Fox Valley continues to thrive after twenty years. Thank you for all you contributed and accomplished as our charter band director.
Second NHBFV Band Director – September 2015 thru May 2022
On this 18th day of May 2024, New Horizons Band Fox Valley acknowledges its appreciation to Robert Kramer for his dedication, hard work and talent as our band director. Under his gentle leadership, the band enrollment grew, played more challenging music, survived the COVID-19 pandemic and continued to thrive. Thank you for all you contributed and accomplished as our second band director.

Woodwinds Instructor – September 2005 thru May 2016
On this 18th day of May 2024, New Horizons Band Fox Valley acknowledges its gratitude and appreciation to Erik Meyer for his dedication and hard work as concert ringer and substitute woodwinds instructor until January 2011 and then continuing as our regular woodwinds section instructor through May 2016. As a result of his guidance and instruction, the New Horizons Band Fox Valley’s woodwinds section grew, played more challenging music and continued to thrive. Thank you for all you have contributed and accomplished as our prior woodwinds section instructor.
Brass Instructor – September 2005 thru May 2016
On this 18th day of May 2024, New Horizons Band Fox Valley acknowledges its gratitude and appreciation to Renée Millard for her dedication and hard work as our brass section instructor for 11 years. As a result of her guidance and instruction, the New Horizons Band Fox Valley’s brass section grew, played more challenging music and continued to thrive. Thank you for all you have contributed and accomplished as our prior brass section instructor.
